2012

Happy New Year to you All.  May 2012 be  Safe, Healthy, Happy and include enough hours for all the sewing you want to do.

I was out celebrating the New Year with friends and fell into bed just before 2am. so a catnap this afternoon didn't go amiss. I did a little bit of preparation for the borders of my Antique Sampler but it was 35C and way too hot to do much. Tomorrow is expected to be 40C. so even less will be accomplished.

Between Christmas and the New Year I got all the blocks in place and sewn together.

The trees in the 4 large blocks are my choice and the design for the middle block I borrowed from another quilt pattern I bought last year and haven't made so far.

Hi Dorothy, I love your Antique Sampler. I bought the pattern just before Christmas and am looking forward to starting it myself. It is definately the weather for afternoon siestas and hope you can keep cool tomorrow.

Dorothy, that quilt is so very nice! I love how you made it your own with those 5 blocks.
It's so hard for me to imagine it being really hot in January! Today was pleasant here but now it's pouring.

I love your Auntie Green. It is on my "to do" list. I hope mine is as beautiful as yours. Also on my "to do" list is your Antique Sampler quilt. I hope mine is as beautiful as yours. I am quite envious of your finished quilts or at least of your free time to complete quilts. These days mine just don't quite get to that stage!!! Must be something to do with having to waste my time at work in stead!!!
