This week I got my Ann Daggs quilt back from the quilter. I have now bound it, so it is totally finished. Pam has done quilting for me for quite a while
now, I leave it to her to choose what she wants to do on my quilts. She knows what I don't want, which is a stiff board of cloth. I like my quilts to remain soft, and the quilting not to dominate on the quilt. I am as usual delighted with what she has done.
Here is a close up of the corner and the quilting.

Love it and I agree with you I don't like quilt to be over quilted and become hard.

Looks beautiful mum, and the quilting matches perfectly.
The quilting has enhanced what is a stunningly beautiful quilt!!
it's another beautiful quilt Dorothy! Your quilter did a lovely job of enhancing your applique.
I like my quilts on the soft side too, I do use them.
She did a wonderful job on the quilting and it really emphasizes the beautiful applique work that you did.

The quilting and Applique are equally stunning!
Lovely quilt. The quilting goes so well. I agree about stiff quilts. I do not want mine to be like that either. You must be so filled with joy that your quilt is complete.
Looks lovely. I do so agree about over-quilting - it often spoils the character of a quilt. Congratulations!
OH Dorothy it is just amazing.
Looks wonderful, she did a great job quilting it but you did an amazing job appliquéing it and choosing fabrics for it.
I hope your keeping this one for yourself!

Your quilt is just lovely! The machine quilting adds just the right touch. Love this quilt!
What a beautiful quilt and a beautiful quilt job!
Great quilting - I know what you mean about too much quilting. As they say less is more.
Your quilt is fabulous! Your quilter Pam did just the right quilting to enhance the design and showcase your fine workmanship, rather than have the quilting dominate the quilt. I am not a fan of the over-quilting that is in vogue right now.
It is a beauty!! The quilting is indeed very nice and so perfect fot this quilt! Enjoy! Greetings

Oh my Dorothy, glad I'm finally feeling like reading blogs or I would have missed out on all your latest work, beyond beautiful and stunning. You work is flawless and the quilting is just enough to showcase your appliqué.
