Stitching Away

I am busy sewing the centre of my Mary Brown centre applique. It looks more open as the fabric get turned under.
This x stitch is called 16thCentury English Knot Garden.  The outer border shows the different herbs in flower.                                                              


This was a pattern I found in a magazine and the 1st one I stitched on 22count Aida.


This is the 2nd one on 22count Aida.
