I'm Getting There

Vine No.6 is finished and attached. It's a great carry-along project and I just pick it up and sew a few leaves whenever I can.

I want to show you an old quilt I saw last week. It is the Chester Criswell quilt and Sharon who it belongs to is making the patterns for each block. These are available from her website. The red fabrics had not survived very well at all but the greens were as good as new. It was an amazing quilt to see and had names on every block and a verse on the bride's block.

  1. Oh your vines look fantastic and you are going so fast! The old quilt is a real beauty and a good idea to make the pattern again! Greetings

  2. I love your colourway Dorothy. It looks so elegant. I have dowloaded the first row from Janet's blog so that I can start my own but that is as far as I have got. I am also in for making my version of Sharon's wonderful quilt, have the first block made. I wish I could see the quilt up close and personal. You always have such beautiful quilts to look at and admire and I have just enjoyed going back again and revisiting older posts.

  3. Your applique work is amazing. You inspire me to start new ones and actually finish them. I love the brides quilt, was thinking how nice something like that would have been for my DIL.
