I stitched the applique on the first block with the basket. There are four blocks like this and I'm going to use the same fabrics for each one.
The next block for Under the Cherry Tree. I'm still managing to get one sewn each month so this is number 7. Maybe the next one will have fewer leaves.
and two more Civil War Stars. This week Woven Plaids. Learning the history behind the fabrics is an added bonus.
If anyone is looking for me, you'll know where I'll be.

I just love that basket block Dorothy! great fabrics for your bird - and the background - yum. UTCT is gorgeous too - and it must be nice working in such different colours.
I am very attracted to the bird and basket applique block. The fabrics are very pretty and the applique very well done.
Lovely applique blocks! It looks so soft and gentle.
I remember that Cherry Tree block well- so many leaves!
Love your little stars.
Beautiful blocks! I love the colors in your basket block. Very inspiring.
You make similar things to me Dorothy. I want to make under the Cherry Tree, but haven't dare buy the pattern, as I have too much else on the go. I love it though! Your blog is very enjoyable to read!
Beautiful blocks Dorothy, the bird is exquisite.
Delicado y precioso bloque !!

Nice applique, love your blocks, they are so delicate in reference to color and fabrics and stitches.
Greetings,
Sylvia
I agree with all comments written about your beautiful blocks and workmanship! Block 7 Under the Cherry Tree, can you tell me what fabric you are using for your background? It doesn't look like plain cotton quilting fabric, is it something else? Looks so comfy! Thanks, Kathy
